Description Airlie Beach is the gateway town to the Whitsunday islands. It has a busy, resort style main street with bars, restaurants and accommodation to suite all tastes and budgets.
Restrictions Think about using Abel Point Marina instead of anchoring here for a more comfortable overnight stay.
Shelter in East to South West.
Fishing Fishing is permitted - check the 100 Magic Miles for details.
Be careful of Anchoring among permanent moorings and boats.  Dragging in strong conditions.
Resort Airlie Beach is a buzzing resort town with many places to eat, drink and things to do. Spend some time shopping in the main street or simply grab an ice cream and watch the world pass by while sitting by the lagoon.
Walking Take some time up in Conway National Park - there is a 3 day Great Walk or go around the Cedar Creek Falls.
Sunset Watch the sunset over the mainland hills.
Outer Reef Take an outer reef tour from Abel Point or Shute Harbour or take a flight to the outer reef from Whitsunday Airport.
Beach Airlie Beach has a beach (!) with a tree covered, grassy frontage. At the Northern end of town is the lagoon (pool) which is great to relax around.
Sailing Sail to Nara, Blue Pearl or many other places.
Dive Catch a day dive tour to the outer reef from Abel Point Marina.
