Type Passage
Description This is local name for the narrow passage of water that is between Hayman Island and Hook Island through which you pass to get to Butterfly Bay and the other northern anchorages on Hook Island.
Fishing As a strong tidal flow passes through here, fishing can be dangerous and uncomfortable. Anchoring is not permitted and the amount of boating traffic quite dangerous.
Be careful of Fringing coral around Hayman island, Langford Reef, Black Island and Hook Island.
